We
have invited Jim Trappe to visit and talk at the end of April. Jim
is a world
expert in truffles and mycorrhizal fungi in forests. He
is now retired from the US Forest Service in Corvallis, OR,
but has had a long, productive career. If you Google his
name, you can see all the things he has done.

April 27 7:00- Dinner with Jim Trappe. We
will reserve some tables at the Fireside restaurant in Pullman,
so if you would like to come, please RSVP me at paulitz@wsu.edu so
we can get a count.
Jim will
meet with faculty and grad students in the Department of
Plant Pathology at WSU on Monday, April 28 and give
a seminar at 4:00 PM in the department titled "Trees,
truffles and beasts: how forests function,"
At
7:30 PM, Monday, April 28, he will give a talk to the Palouse Mycological
Association titled "Truffles and Gourmets: Of
Mice and Men" in Room 518 in the CUE (Center for Undergraduate
Education) at WSU. There is parking in the bottom of the building,
as well as a parking lot next to the building.
